A third-generation engineer, Saurabh's fascination with building and understanding how things work began at an early age. As a child, he was constantly taking things apart, diagnosing problems, and creating working mechanical models from available materials. That curiosity evolved into a lifelong passion for engineering, manufacturing, and product realization.
Saurabh earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in India before pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. During his graduate studies, he worked on advanced engineering projects involving hybrid vehicle energy optimization, additive manufacturing, topology optimization, and simulation-driven design, strengthening his analytical and systems-based approach to engineering.
Prior to joining Henning, Saurabh built a diverse career across product design, manufacturing, quality, and process improvement. His experience includes engineering and manufacturing roles supporting automotive, heavy equipment, marine, industrial, and consumer products. While working with Caterpillar, he focused on product quality, supplier development, manufacturing process improvement, and continuous product improvement initiatives. He later supported new product development and sustaining engineering programs within Brunswick's Navico Group, where he worked extensively with manufacturing partners, validation programs, product lifecycle management systems, and engineering change processes.
At Henning, Saurabh plays a critical role in product launch and commercialization activities. He leads supplier identification and qualification efforts, manages requests for quotation (RFQs), supports manufacturing partner selection, coordinates logistics, oversees quality and validation activities, and helps align engineering intent with production outcomes. His ability to communicate effectively across engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders helps maintain project momentum while reducing technical and manufacturing risk.
His experience spans medical, consumer, industrial, and electronic products, with particular strengths in manufacturing readiness, quality systems, supplier engagement, and production scaling. He is passionate about developing practical solutions that balance performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost.
